The Candidate who responds to an offer of employment may encode information concerning his identity (surname, first name, date of birth, etc.), his nationality, his contact details (mailing address and email address, phone number) and the data relating to his training, his professional career, his skills and his centres of interest.
Genius people allows a Candidate to reply to an advert without being registered. In that case, the data of the Candidate are stored on our database and operated solely by the RECRUITER Account linked to the advert by Genius People SPRL and Best2best human capital SPRL.
The Candidate's data will be exploited from the moment when the Candidate has decided to apply for the job. By default, the CV is "active" and "identifiable".
The Candidate agrees that these data be made accessible to the recruiters who receive access to this database and that these recruiters can, where appropriate, copy, save, print, and perform any processing operation on these data for recruitment purposes.
The Candidate agrees that his data can be accessed and processed by people located outside Belgium, or outside the territory of the European Economic Area, in a country that does not offer adequate or equivalent protection under Belgian and European legislation.

The personal data of candidates are kept by GENIUS PEOPLE SPRL for 5 years from the date of the request for deletion of the CV in order to carry out statistics and studies on the use of our services for their optimisation and to be able to offer services or participation at events, under the conditions defined in Article II.

GENIUS PEOPLE may use a technology called a "cookie". A cookie is an element of the information transmitted by the server that hosts the site to the user's browser, when accessing the site. As regards the services of data storage, the servers on which are stored the data associated with the RECRUITER accounts located on the territory of the European Economic Area or in a country providing an adequate level of protection according to the criteria of the Law of 8 December 1992 on the protection of personal data. You can ask us at any time for information about where these data are stored.
We can engage third party companies and sub-contract their services or rent a facility from them for storing data. In this case, we require the subcontractor or third party to observe obligations of confidentiality and security equivalent to those offered to the Client within the framework of the present general conditions as regards the security and confidentiality of the data.
The user whose data are stored by us may at any time request a written description of the technical and organisational measures implemented to ensure the confidentiality and security of data by sending a written request to this effect to the following address: Rue Emile Francqui, 7F - B-1435 Mont-Saint-Guibert. We are likely to omit in this description the elements or technical details, the disclosure of which could be detrimental to the security of the data.
By using our services, the user acknowledges that:
Attempts to hack the data. If a user discovers an incident in which there was an attempt to hack into the security of the data, he undertakes to inform us about it as soon as possible by sending an email to the following address: privacy@genius-people.com.
Data accessible via the Accounts. A user who has created a CANDIDATE folder or a RECRUITER Account may consult and modify or delete his personal data at any time, . It is sufficient for him to connect to his Account, go to his profile and make the desired changes or deletions as appropriate.
However, if third parties have had access to the personal data of a user, who has in the meantime consulted, modified, or deleted them, GENIUS PEOPLE SPRL cannot modify or delete those data from their systems.
Data in the CV database. The data are in the CV database as long as you have a RECRUITER Account and it is active.
We will delete your data from the CV database by the statutory deadline or upon express request for cancellation. In addition, we reserve the right to remove your data from the CV database at any time if we believe that the data you have transmitted violate the rules of this Charter or our Conditions of use ;
The Candidate is aware that the deletion of his data from the CV database does not imply the deletion of those data by the people who accessed the data before their deletion and who are likely to continue processing those data.
Other personal data. Any user can exercise his rights of access, correction and objection regarding his personal data. For the personal data that we process, and which may not be consulted, corrected or deleted directly by the user through the functionality of the services, the user can send a request for access, correction or opposition by letter posted to the following address: Genius People SPRL, Service Privacy, Rue Emile Francqui, 7F - B-1435 Mont-Saint-Guibert.
Proof of his identity will be required, which means he must include a copy of his identity card. The request must be dated and signed. GENIUS PEOPLE SPRL will respond to this request within the period laid down by the Belgian and European legislation regarding data protection.
GENIUS PEOPLE reserves the right to update and amend the terms of its policy with respect to the protection of data, at any time and regularly, subject to prior information. The updated version of this policy will always be available on the site. The use of the Site or the Services after the amendments or revisions of the Policy signifies acceptance of the amended or revised Policy.
Our commitments and requirements in terms of protection of personal data are subject to Belgian and European legislation relating to the protection of data of a personal nature. These provisions will be governed, interpreted, performed in accordance with Belgian law, the only law applicable in case of disputes.
